The finalists of the GO Plus competition for SPORTS+ customers put their skills to the test in a tennis challenge against the formidable Gordon Axiaq at the Marsa Sports Club. The lucky winner of the tennis challenge landed two centre-court tickets to the ladies semi-finals at Wimbledon – flight and accommodation expenses paid.
All Sports+ customers were automatically entered for the competition with no need to fill in any application form whatsoever. Meanwhile all new and existing customers subscribed to the Sports+ service by 6th June earned themselves the chance to fly to world-renowned Wimbledon tennis tournament in London. In the case of both new and existing customers, the competition was targeted as a show of appreciation from GO Plus for customer loyalty.
On 11 June, Sports+ customers were contacted at random and asked 10 multiple choice questions on the history of Wimbledon. Finalists who succeeded in giving the correct answer proceeded to the final exciting round involving a tennis challenge where they were asked to return 10 volleys, 10 service line shots and 10 base line shots against renown Gordon Axiaq. The finalist who managed to score the highest number of points in the course of the challenge was declared winner.
