Finally, the government has made up its mind.

Minister John Dalli announced in Parliament that a white paper on rent reform will be published by the end of the month.

What I hope is that the white paper will then be “upgraded” into a bill that is presented in Parliament and passed without undue delay.

This matter has been left on the back-burner for too long and should see the light of day as quickly as possible. Too many people have suffered because of the procrastination of so many governments.

Now we need action.
