The price of petrol has gone up. This means that the price of other products will go up too.
The situation is about to explode. Many families cannot make ends meet, and with the forthcoming rise in the surcharge the situation will become even more untenable.
What do politicians expect us to do? That we start buying candles or walk to our destination?
I think that all over the world politicians seek their own interest first. They live a comfortable life, knowing that they will not be touched by any increases because, after all, they have their expenses paid by the taxpayers.
And yet we continue to vote them in office.
There was a time when I used to think that the people who do not vote in an election are not doing their civic duty. But now I am inclined to think otherwise. If politicians continue to take the people for a ride, then the public should reply by ignoring them.
After all, there is little difference between one party or another.
