I do not want the PRO of the Water Services Corporation to think, and write as he did in the past, that I have nothing to do than to look for water leakages and report them to them!

But given the price of crude oil, and knowing that water in Malta is an expensive commodity, I feel in duty bound to report yet another leak – the third in as many weeks – in Ruzar Mizzi Street, Mosta (ex-Alley 5).

I am not referring to the one fixed some two weeks ago.

That was the 13th leak.

Nor am I referring to the 14th one which was fixed a couple of days ago. But I am referring to the 15th one which can be seen in front of garage No.111.

Readers of these columns know that before a layer of tarmac was laid on this 100-metre stretch of land I wrote several times to warn them that it was money down the drain because the distribution system was a temporary one and the pipes were buried under not more than two/three inches of loose rubble.
