It is said that attack is the best form of defence.
Maybe that is why Dr Joseph Muscat, Labour's new leader, has written to the Prime Minister giving the impression that our democracy may be in danger.
Coming from a Labour leader who has just paid a courtesy visit to Dom Mintoff, this preoccupation about our democracy is rather strange.
It is true that Dr Muscat is too young to remember what Dom Mintoff and Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici did to strengthen our democracy, but certainly there are several high officials around him who can tell him a lot about these two leaders who were recently awarded a "medal" by Dr Muscat to acknowledge the services rendered to the country by these two professors of democracy.
