Foreign experts are paid thousands of euros for their advice. Well, I am neither a foreigner nor an expert, but I did tell the Water Services Corporation (WSC) that the laying of tarmac over a temporary and defective water distribution system as that found in Ruzar Mizzi Street, a 100-metre stretch of land, was a waste of money.

The WSC had not asked for my advice and so they ignored it. The 15th leak reported in these columns on a Thursday was repaired the following Monday, more than four days later. I regret I have to report the 16th leak, not more than three metres away from the 15th!
