Allow me to reply to Mark Grech’s Privatisation (TMID Tuesday 8 July) who, in it had stated that “it was the concept of privatisation that should have been discussed”, (always according to himself), and not “how it was going to be carried out”.

Since both correspondent Mr Grech and Zminijietna – Voice of the Left are adamantly against the privatisation of the Malta Shipyards, should this be taken to mean that they are enthusiastically in favour of enforced closure thereby endangering the livelihood of thousands of workers and the means of sustenance of their families?
