A practical suggestion for the local postal company is to inform philatelists, about the dates of publication of the first day cover issues.

The trend adopted since a few years ago was information prior to the specific issue in the local newspapers on a regular basis.

Nowadays, the philatelist has to contact the “philatelic bureau” to be adjourned about such matters. Even in the “postage stamp issue” leaflet published by Maltapost with the first day cover’s issue, the next date of issue is not being published.

Another suggestion is to publish more thematic albums apart from those already issued “Maltese Countryside” and “Maltese Coastline.”
