Congratulations to the Maltese female basketball team for winning the trophy and merited gold medal in the division C tournament organised by FIBA.

All that matters now is not only the winning of such a tournament but of the convincing style, in which the ultimate victory was achieved.

Malta registered good victories against Albania, Scotland, Wales, Andorra, and in the final we met Albania again, emerging as clear winners with a 20-point margin. The work and all the sacrifices performed by the basketball association and by the technical staff during these last years, have reaped the desired success.
