Youth Football Association Presentation

The Pool Garden area at the Corinthia Hotel Attard was the venue for the Presentation Night of the Youth Football Association. In this annual evening, trophies were presented to all the winning teams of the Under 14 and Under 16 Sections, and also to the Knock Out Winners for season 2007-2008.

This year's event was attended by 230 people who included club officials, coaches, players, parents and friends.

Mr and Mrs Alfred Triganza, Senior Manager APS Bank, Mr and Mrs Ludovico Micallef, MFA Vice President, Mr and Mrs Andrew Attard APS Bank, Mr Dominic Anastasi, PANINI Firm Director and Mr and Mrs Dusan Fitzel, national coach, were the guests for this year's event.

In a pre-dinner short speech, Youth FA Chairman Fr Hilary Tagliaferro thanked all those involved in the organisation of the competitions during the past season which was a very successful and eventful one. He then wished everybody an enjoyable evening and a pleasant dinner and ended his speech with a thanks-giving prayer.

Fr Hilary announced that APS Bank had renewed their sponsorship towards the Youth FA. The Firm PANINI will also renew the sponsorship for the Junior competitions for the new season.

The trophies were presented to the winning teams by Mr Alfred Triganza, Mr Dominic Anastasi and Mr Dusan Fitzel.

Under 16 Knock-Out: Winners Valletta; Finalists Pieta

Ian Scerri and Elkien Cuachi, both of Paola H, were voted as the Most Promising Youngsters of the Under 14 and Under 16.
