The prestigious BOV Player of the Month Award kicked off once again following the start of the new BOV Premier League season, with Hibernians' Clayton Failla selected as the player of the month for August.

The award was presented to Clayton Failla by Emily Grech, Manager at Bank of Valletta's Paola Branch. Ms Grech congratulated Clayton Failla for his achievement and highlighted the role that BOV is playing as the major sponsor of local sports.

During Hibernians' opening matches against Msida St. Joseph and Qormi, Failla distinguished himself by proving to be an excellent defender. He also proved to be a formidable attacker which made him stand out during these two matches. If this form is maintained throughout the BOV Premier League, Failla will undoubtedly be an important addition to his team.

Speaking about the award Clayton Failla said "This award encourages me to work harder and persevere in this coming season, not only for my personal achievement but also for the rest of the team".

Linked to the BOV Player of the Month Award is a contribution made by Bank of Valletta to a charity of the player's choice. The Ursuline Creche is the charity chosen by Clayton Failla.
