Perhaps Daphne Caruana Galizia should be told that people say “Hawn, x’jismek”, not, as she wrote so often throughout her article, including in the heading (TMID, 9 October) “x’ismek”.
I am surprised at the widespread rot she sees. With so many children being given private education, I would have thought people are more cultured and know their forms of address. Maybe private education, the kind the snobbish Daphne got, is not such a big deal, after all!
