Rubbish In St Paul’s Bay

Malta Independent Sunday, 19 October 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 19 years ago

From Mr F.H. Said

The attached photograph illustrates what the residents of St Paul’s Bay are being faced with every single day of the year.

It was taken in Bordino Street at 6.30pm on Monday, 13 October, which means that it was at least 14 hours before the rubbish was collected by a scammel.

As a point of interest, the photograph shows the middle of Bordino Street, between two restaurants and in front of a hotel. The door on the right is to a block of 11 flats.

Bordino Street is the main outlet from Qawra and Bugibba, which means that the majority of tourists – apart from Maltese residents – pass down this street.

This is the clean St Paul’s Bay of which the local council is so proud!
