Mdina Knights FC have announced that player Clint Caruana is now in a stable condition, following the unfortunate accident that took place on Monday 13 October during the match played against Gudja United.
The player in question was discharged from Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday and is now in the process of a full recovery.
The accident could have had more serious consequences had it not been for the prompt action taken by Mdina Knights' player Liam Mercieca who is a 5th year
medical student, Centenary Stadium groundsman Anthony Zarb and Dr. David
Attard and his assistant who happened to be in the vicinity.
Mdina Knights thanked the Gudja United players and staff for their continuous support during the incident, the ambulance staff and the staff at the Mater Dei Emergency, ITU and NSU wards for their efficiency and service.
