With no Premier League matches being played because of the re-seeding of the turf at the national stadium, four matches from the first round of this competition will be played between today and tomorrow at the Centenary Stadium.
Today, at 1.30pm, Mosta face Vittoriosa Stars in the opening match, while in the match that follows, at 3.30pm, St Patrick meet Senglea in what should be a keen Cottonera derby.
Tomorrow, the programme starts at 2pm with the match between Premier side Tarxien Rainbows who are favourites to beat first division opponents Mqabba. In the second match on the programme, Floriana will be facing first division side Dingli and the Greens are also expected to emerge easy winners.
In these matches, extra time is to be played if necessary. If, after the end of extra time, the result is still a draw, penalty kicks shall be taken in accordance with the Laws of the Game.
