Following its annual general meeting held recently at which there was no need for the federation’s Council election as this is held every two years, the 2008-2009 competition calendar was drawn up.

British Airways are again sponsoring both the National Championships as well as the youth competitions aptly named British Airways Youth League.

Following is the calendar:

30.11.2008: National Club and Individual Championships

18.01.2009: British Airways Youth League

15.02.2009: British Airways Youth League

15.03.2009: British Airways Youth League

17.05.2009: British Airways Youth League

19.07.2009: British Airways Youth League

Funds permitting, the Federazzajoni Maltija Lotta (Malta Amateur Wrestling Federation) is interested in participating at the Mediterranean Games Pescara, Italy, Trofeo Milone, Rome, Italy, Great Britain Cup, Sheffield, England and the Grand Prix Sicilia, Palermo, Italy.
