The best game of the men cup was between Luxol H.C and Aloysians ProMinent. Luxol had a good game based on solid defence and fast transitions which helped them win the game. Luxol opened well in the first half, though Aloysians managed to kkep close to Luxol.
After being reached on 7-7 in the 16th minute, Luxol opened a three goal lead but Aloysians managed to pull one back to go in the dressing rooms with two goals under.
After the break Luxol lost some of their power and after being reached on 16-16, they found themselves with two under. Aloysians' tactical change was proving beneficial but soon Luxol managed to control Aloysians' 4/2 attack going in the lead again. Steve Cilia went out one on one on Milos who was being a real threat to Luxol.
On their part, Aloysians put Orlando one on one on Joseph Tanti but three goals in the last five minutes helped Luxol maintain the lead for a final score of 26-23.
La Salle Trendi beat a resilient Kavallieri RS2 who gave the best of fights but fell ten goals short of reaching their aim.
La Salle were never in real threat of loosing the game and by the end of the first half they were already with eleven goals advantage. Kavallieri's pride was vital for RS2 to finish with a respectable score and infact they won the second half 13-12.
Game after game La Salle are emerging a very difficult to beat, while Kavallieri are improving game after game. Kavallieri must be more consistent. In this particular game, Kavallieri started quietly and it was too late for the, to recover the game.
La Salle's performance was superb and their 28-18 was more than merited.
