From Mr D. Cilia
I had just returned from abroad and was on my way to Gozo along the coast road and couldn’t fail to notice a billboard at Bahar ic-Caghaq advertising World Tourism Day.
The Mdina photo with a field of sunflowers in the foreground is a fake. In 25 years of photographing the islands I have never come across such a field!
Why do we have to fake our landscape when Mdina is surrounded with beautiful nature and flowers – Bermuda buttercup (ingliza), daisies, clover, poppies and many others.
Or does the poster want to suggest that with climate change we will have sunflowers growing all over Malta!
