By Remote control

I totally agree with what Mr J. Falzon (TMID, 10 November) wrote about Mr J. Martinelli.

Mr Martinelli is such an expert on everything that he bombards all the newspapers with his thoughts. But then he had the nerve to say and quote “too many people write to newspapers and think that they are experts”. Well, well, look who’s talking.

It seems that Mr Martinelli does not want to retire to Malta and enjoy the excellent progress this country has made under his favourite party in government. Instead he prefers to run Malta by remote control from a very comfortable rich country.

In his many words of wisdom he forgot to mention that Canada has the second best roads in the world. If he comes here he will probably need an army vehicle, but then the tax will probably be too high!

He also conveniently forgot to mention that recently a Canadian minister resigned very quickly after he forgot some paperwork at a friend’s house. How many ministers have resigned here over much worse indiscretions?

Looks like we have better superglue on our ministerial seats over here, the only thing better than Canada’s.
