The first edition of The Malta Property Expo has generated so much interest in the real estate industry that more than half the exhibition space has already been booked and a number of sponsorship agreements are being concluded. With more than four months to go to opening day, this augurs very well for the success of this ambitious event.

Travelex, the foreign exchange and business payment company, was one of the first to sign a sub-sponsor agreement with the organisers – Duplex Real Estate Branding. During the endorsement meeting, both parties expressed their satisfaction at this mutually beneficial agreement.

“Travelex has always endeavoured to support public events with our range of money transfer products, and The Malta Property Expo is the ideal platform to showcase our expertise in this area,” said Sean Dullard from Travelex. “When buying a property overseas, individuals are exposed to several challenges in the currency markets. We have the knowledge and experience to guide and assist in this process. The Malta Property Expo is an exciting and interesting project which will help position Malta in the international property world and we are confident that our input will support its success,” he continued.

The Malta Property Expo is being promoted on real estate media in the UK and through the AIPP – Association of International Property Professionals. A number of professional speakers are being invited to address various seminars during the Expo. These include financial services specialists who will deal with issues both for foreigners interested in buying property in Malta, as well as Maltese nationals looking at property overseas.

The first edition of The Malta Property Expo will be held between 27 February and 1 March 2009 at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali. This large-scale event spread over more than 6,500 sq m is expected to boost property sales as developers, estate agents and other stakeholders present their product offerings to a more discerning market in a professional atmosphere.
