Prisoner In Swieqi

Malta Independent Sunday, 30 November 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 19 years ago

From Ms S. Dalli.

Following my last letter to the editor, the Swieqi local council must have been aware of the chaos that reigns every weekend in the heart of Swieqi, namely Triq Santu Wistin. I am very happy to say that one other Tow Zone sign has been placed further up from the junction box.

This didn’t make such of a difference since no wardens passed by on Friday night (the 21st) and three cars parked outside my garage once again prohibited me from exiting my prison road.

Can I ask the local council to fork out more than just one Tow Zone sign and allow the residents of this road other alternatives, like other local councils that give access to residents by adding signs such as the 120-minute parking limit.

Do we, the “special” residents, have to close an eye every weekend, or is the council just not bothered?

Shakyra Dalli
