Albert Einstein is reported to have once said that in his opinion two things are infinite: the universe and man’s stupidity, then Einstein concluded, “but I am not so sure of the former.”

When I read it I thought that this genius was trying to make fun of man, but now that I have read Gems of Myopia by J. Bartolo (TMID 26 November) I very much regret I have to agree with Einstein!
