MIM Accredited as CIMA Training centre

Malta Independent Tuesday, 9 December 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

As notified earlier on this year, the Malta Institute of Management (MIM) has been accredited as a CIMA Training centre (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants). CIMA representative Thierry Iovane explained how part of the mission of both organisations is ensuring dissemination of management tools, such as the CIMA Balance Scorecard, and keeping the professional community abreast with the latest developments.

The MIM is the representative of CIMA in Malta, acting as trouble shooter for CIMA existent and prospective students. CIMA upholds high ethical and professional standards to maintain public confidence in management accountancy.

MIM holds the CIMA commitment to maintain the professional standards and competence of its members and students.

The success of the CIMA learning scheme depends on the effective partnership between MIM as representative and the students. It is vital that there is commitment from all sides for overall improvement in the quality of courses.

CIMA is not just about getting one’s career off to a good start. CIMA gives the potential skills to succeed, develop and enhance the choices in one’s career. Being able to work in a wide range of industries, CIMA members work in diverse areas like business analysis, management consulting, operations management and project management.

Many of the world’s top finance directors and chief executives are CIMA members.

Persons who would like to participate and become CIMA students are encouraged to contact MIM on 21453097 or email [email protected].
