In December 2008 Saburo Takashima Sensei 5th Dan and Hidenori Kanazawa Sensei 4th Dan of Japan honoured Sei Shin Kan Renshinkai Aikido Academy of Malta coming over to conduct a 15-day training seminar together with Raymond Cutajar Sensei 3rd Dan.

Cutajar is the head instructor of the SeiShinKan Aikido Academy in Malta. It is a member of the Malta Judo Federation and Associated Arts and affiliated with the International Renshinkai Aikido Federation in Japan,

At the end of the seminar after intensive training sessions, Takashima Sensei and Kanazawa Sensei, who are frequent visitors to our island, examined Ramon Corrado and Chris Borg for their Shodan Black Belts. Raymond Cutajar Sensei was examined for his San Dan black belt. Towards the end of the seminar, students and instructors performed an astounding demonstration.

During the celebration dinner which was held specially to honour the new black belts, Takashima Sensei and Kanazawa Sensei presented Raymond Cutajar Sensei, Ramon Corrado and Chris Borg with their respective Dan certificates.

During his speech Takashima Sensei spoke highly of Raymond Cutajar Sensei and mentioned the honour The Grand master Inoue Sensei bestowed on the same Sensei two years earlier, which is a Bushi (Warrior).

The honour was personally handwritten in Kenji by the Grand Master Inoue Sensei in recognition of Cutajar Sensei's hard work and achievements in Yoshinkan and Renshinkai Aikido in Malta.

In addition, he praised Raymond Cutajar Sensei on his success in building Yoshinkan and Renshinkai Aikido to the highest level, especially in a small island like Malta.

Furthermore Takashima Sensei and Kanawaza Sensei invited Cutajar Sensei to participate in special seminars which are going to be held in Malaysia and Japan.
