US Ambassador Molly Bordonaro yesterday presented the Ambassador’s Award for Educational Excellence to the Chiswick House School in Kappara in a ceremony held at the school. The award was accepted on the school’s behalf by Bernadine Mizzi, Principal of Chiswick House School and St Martin’s College.

Speaking to the audience of distinguished academics, including the school’s four professional heads, teachers, and administrators, and surrounded by students and parents from the school, Ambassador Bordonaro noted that the Chiswick House School’s effective and personalised educational programme equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to confidently meet the challenges of our fast-changing world. “I am presenting this award to recognise Chiswick House School’s commitment to the highest standards of excellence in education and its dedication to the holistic well-being of the students,” Ambassador Bordonaro said.

In accepting the award, Ms Mizzi said, “At Chiswick House School and St Martin’s College, we continuously look to improve student learning and development by implementing new ideas while retaining the best of our century-old traditions. We believe in positive reinforcement and in the added value that our programmes and teaching styles offer. It is our hope that every student graduates with an array of academic achievements and a well–developed personality.”

Ambassador Bordonaro also presented the Ambassador’s Award for Educational Excellence to Miriam Grima, one of the teachers at the school, in recognition of her exemplary efforts to uphold Chiswick House School standards by employing effective teaching techniques that create a positive learning environment where students are motivated to learn.

Chiswick House School and St Martin’s College together form part of a leading co-educational establishment in Malta catering for pupils and students aged six months to 18 years of age.
