The world has really gone bananas! Indeed frightening! Authorities boast of consumer protection, and yet allow us to be taken for a very, very long ride, which sometimes could even be fatal!

Banks, airlines, pharmaceuticals, insurances, financial advisers, manufacturers, you name it, are obliged by law to issue warnings, called Terms and Conditions, seemingly to make sure that we are not duped. Fantastic! But these are written in a way that one would need Hale’s telescope to read them and let alone understand them! And when a product is advertised on the aired media, radio or TV, these are gobbled up by the announcer and read as if he/she had just been stung by a bee on some very sensitive part of the body, so that no one understands what is being muttered! And I presume all this to be legal and above board, otherwise it would not be allowed.

Is this crazy or what? Are the powers that be in league with the organisations? Should these warnings not be printed in the same size as when the product is advertised? Should they not be read on the air at the same speed as when selling the item?

What’s going on?

My contention is that these attitudes and laissez-faire by governments have aided and abetted in no small way the chaotic situations that exist in the world, be they financial or otherwise!

I am of the firm opinion that this planet has long seized to exist and we have not even realised!
