Argentine Tango For beginners

Malta Independent Sunday, 1 March 2009, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Argentine tango is a beautiful dance and it has attracted the attention of most major cities in the world. Even here in Malta we have a group of tango enthusiasts who are only too happy to pass on their knowledge of this addictive dance. TangoMalta is organising Argentine Tango for Beginners Level 1, which is being taught by Nathalie Mifsud and supported by Gehwol. The lessons will be held at 145/147 Eucharistic Congress Road, Mosta on the following dates: Tuesday 10 March at 8.15pm; Tuesday 17 March at 8.15pm; Tuesday 24 March at 8.15pm; Tuesday 31 March at 8.15pm. Lessons are one-and-a-half hours long, after which there will be a practice lesson.

Apart from these lessons, the group also meets every Thursday at Il-Forn, Birgu, for their regular Milonga where you can come and practise what you’ve learnt. The price is 40 euros per person, 30 euros for full-time students.

Please confirm your attendance by reply email stating your full name and mobile number in case you need to be contacted urgently. Wear what you like but followers are advised to wear leather soled, well supported shoes. Square or long pointed shoes put you at a disadvantage.

If you can bring a dance partner, it will make things a little easier. Places are limited. Upon booking your place, you will be given details as to how to effect payment prior to the start of the course. Refunds will only be given if a booking is cancelled before 5 March and no refunds will be issued for missed classes. Please remember that you can always give a Tango course as a gift to a loved one or a dear friend.

If you need further information and/or for booking contact Nathalie on: [email protected] or call 7928 7755.
