One hundred years ago the 1st Sliema Scout Group (Bernard’s Own) was founded, and it is my pleasure to inform interested persons about the initial activities which are being organised to celebrate this milestone.

Centenary exhibition: The official opening of the exhibition is being held on Friday 6 March, at our Headquarters in Depiro Street, Sliema. The general and scouting public are invited to visit the exhibition on the following dates and times;

Saturday 7 March: from 10am to 1pm and from 4pm to 7pm;

Sunday 8 March: from 9am to 1pm.

The general public is encouraged to visit the exhibition which will highlight the benefits of scouting to society over the years, as well as its current relevance today.

Special reunion: A special reunion for all past Sliema Scouts and Leaders is being held on Saturday 7 March, 2009 from 7.30pm to 10pm at Sliema HQ. All former Sliema Scouts are urged to come along and catch up with old friends. “Once a Scout, always a Scout!”
