Current league leaders Neptunes Vodafone should register another victory today as the Bank of Valletta winter league enters its third round of matches.

The leaders, who have won their opening two matches, will be facing Exiles and should be considered firm favourites for another two points to consolidate their lead at the top of the standings.

Their immediate followers, Sliema, Sirens and San Giljan, have all won one and lost another from their opening clashes and will be looking forward to win again today to maintain the pace, although Sliema’s match against the national Under 20 side will carry no points for classification purposes.

In this context, the Sirens-San Giljan game should be the top attraction this afternoon.
