The information given earlier to your correspondent by our staff is factually correct.
MaltaPost does not have control on the scanning capabilities of foreign postal administrations.
While maintaining that the vast majority of parcels are adequately tracked in an automated manner, there are instances where MaltaPost would have to resolve to compiling a manual enquiry to the receiving administration upon failure of the latter to provide timely information via the tracking systems.
