I would like to bring to the attention of your readers the existence of a version of Wikipedia (Wikipedija) in Maltese. It can be found at http://mt.wikipedia.org.

This is of course not very well developed and new contributions would be appreciated. There are many retired teachers and professional people with a reasonable knowledge of Maltese and basic word programming who would find it very interesting and rewarding to write new articles or translate articles from Wikipedias in other languages.

One must remember that this is not an encyclopedia about Malta but an encyclopedia in Maltese.

Extending the Wikipedija helps to develop and preserve our language.
