The Fluttering of a butterfly’s wings

Malta Independent Sunday, 22 March 2009, 00:00 Last update: about 17 years ago

From Professor E. Scicluna

Daphne Caruana Galizia was very kind in my regard last Sunday.

Actually, she only berated The Times journalist, who interviewed me about the recession, for not pointing out to the readers that I was a PL candidate. Oops! I was sure he did. Maybe he was not emphatic enough.

She states that I came across as being more concerned with being proved right than with the country’s immediate destiny. Apologies. I need to tread more carefully next time. I should not hurt any people’s sensitivities with these lapses into imbalances however slight. Not now anyhow.

After all, it is said that it is possible that the mere flutter of a butterfly’s wings in one place could cause a tornado in another far-off place.
