After a short winter break, Harbour Air’s seaplane is back in operation with regular daily flights departing from Grand Harbour and landing in Gozo’s Mgarr Harbour.
The current 14-seater Single Otter aircraft, run by Harbour Air (Malta) Ltd, offers a choice of morning and afternoon flights, the first departing Malta at 10am, the last leaving Gozo at 4.40pm.
Flying at approximately 700 feet above sea level, the flight duration to the sister island is only 10 minutes, during which time one gets a bird’s eye view of the Maltese islands.
A newly-added service, scheduled to commence during May, is offering flights from Malta International Airport to Gozo Harbour by means of an amphibious Twin Otter aircraft seating up to 17 passengers. Besides serving local requirements, this innovative initiative being undertaken by Harbour Air (Malta) Ltd will certainly enhance tourism quality to Gozo in giving the opportunity for all international Gozo-bound arriving passengers to hop onto the seaplane shortly after their Malta arrival.
With its offices and company personnel on site at each of the Valletta and Mgarr Harbours, metres away from the aircraft’s berth, Harbour Air (Malta) Ltd is committed to safety, comfort and service to all its passengers.
