Thank you, Francesca Vella, for a wonderful insight into the life and times of Henry Miller (A man of no nonsense, TMID, 23 March) who celebrated his 100th birthday recently.

I do know Mr Miller myself and his life is so interesting. I could listen to his stories about times gone by for hours on end. His mind is better than mine and I am just over half his age. His wit and sense of humour are unique. He is a man in a million and you, Francesca, brought that out in your wonderful two page spread.

Who else in this world would want a computer for his birthday, and I can tell you that within a few hours of getting it he was trying to use it.
