On behalf of The Ghaqda Nisa Giljanizi I would like to show my appreciation to Mrs Mary Fenech Adami for the lovely morning spent at San Anton Palace last Wednesday.

The day started with Mass in the beautiful Palace chapel, said by Fr Claude Portelli, vice parish priest of St Julian’s. After Mass, we were shown round the large beautiful rooms enhanced with fabulous chandeliers and old paintings. Mrs Fenech Adami herself and three assistants took us round.

After presenting a sum of money in aid of The Community Chest Fund, the morning was crowned with a choice of tea, coffee or orange juice accompanied by watering eats, in the new dining hall which previously served as a pantry. The long table accommodating 50 persons with Mrs Fenech Adami in the centre was lovely to look at.

Seeing all those smiling faces being served by the staff of the President of Malta made those present feel like little queens at a banquet. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming, making it a special morning for all those present.
