Minister John Dalli’s crack-down on benefit fraud is welcome news. That €10.5m were saved in just one year through tight controls is proof of what Azzjoni Nazzjonali has been saying all along: that fraud is prevalent in the Social Service sector was there for all to see.

Honest, hard-working people feel hurt when they see the fruit of their labour going into idle pockets. What needs to be rewarded is hard work, entrepreneurship and innovation. This is what can create jobs and carry us all forward in a globalised world.
