The Malta Tennis Federation is once again hosting a Federation Cup Group event next week.

The Federation Cup is an International Tennis Federation (ITF) event that sees countries from all over the world battling it out in the tennis court via their ladies’ national teams.

Malta will be hosting the Group III Europe/Africa Group with 11 countries vying for two promotion places to Group II.

The event will be held next week, between 21 and 25 April at the Marsa Sports Club.

The Maltese national team, under the guidance of Ian Smith, will be composed of Kimberly Cassar, the local champion, who last week won a very prestigious U-18 ITF international tournament, Elaine Genovese, Steffi Sullivan and Lisa Camenzuli. Helen Asciak will be the Malta captain during the tournament.
