Frans Pace was in a class of his own this weekend when he took the lead in the Trap Selection with Nazzareno Attard managing second place to be nominated by The Malta Shooting Sport Federation to the MOC to compete in the Cyprus GSSE next June.
During the Muscat Cup Trap selection organised by the Malta Shooting Sport Federation this weekend Frans Pace managed 25,25,22, 24,25 for a magnificent total of 121/125 and another 22 in the single barrel barage finals for a total of 143/150.
This remarkable score is of international standards and is hardly ever achieved during world championships.
Stanley Cardona placed second with 133 (116+17), followed by Lino Galea with 132 (110+22), Eugenio Borg with 128 (110+18), Nazzareno Attard with 127 (110+17) and Jeffery Pisani in sixth with 125 (109+16)
This competition was the last of four selection shoots for our trap shooters to be nominated to the MOC for the Cyprus GSSE. Frans Pace placed first in Trap with Nazzareno Attard second.
William Chetcuti and Derek Bonanno placed first and second in Double Trap while Clive Farrugia and Paul Vella placed first and second in Skeet.
William Vella placed first in 10M Air Rifle while Ray Cacciattolo placed first in 10M Air Pistol.
