I found the last paragraph of Daphne Caruana Galizia’s article “Always a market for hysterics” to be very irreverent towards the celebration of the Eucharistic (TMIS, 26 April).

I felt she was making a mockery of the religious beliefs of the great majority of Maltese in the way she described this wonderful mystery of our salvation.

Regarding the apparitions or otherwise at Medjugorje, she is free to believe or disbelieve. In fact, Catholics are not obliged to believe and there is complete freedom in this matter. To me she sounded hysterical in the way she presented the article and not the five million or so who visit that place.
