Referring to the advert published on Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 April, the for Resources and Rural Affairs Ministry would like to clarify that Bluefin tuna recreational and sport fishing shall only take place from 16 June to 14 October.

Only 1 bluefin tuna can be landed per fishing trip and once the allocated quota of 50kg has been used up, no further fishing by that fisher can take place. Minimum landing size for bluefin tuna landed by sport and recreational fishers is 30 kg. Severe penalties will be imposed upon those who do not abide by the stipulated conditions.
