Below are the conditions that are meted out to patients in wards and follow-up appointments in this hospital... “Our staff works hard to provide you with best possible care. Please help them by giving them the courtesy and cooperation they deserve.

“We will not tolerate verbal or physical abuse to our staff or damage to our property. All such incidents will be treated seriously and may lead to prosecutions of the individuals involved.”

Words like these should be written down and pinned on a notice board in all outpatients and ward departments. It is high time somebody thinks about the health and security of the staff at Mater Dei Hospital, besides that of the patient.
