My letter of 6 May was titled The hoary past, and Mr Giov. de Martino confirms (TMID, 12 May) that he is living in the stone age. Who would ask if it is a crime to disbar women from voting, or that bishops should never be taken to court? Ask women, and ask those abused by their prelates about that. How can anyone in 2009 hold a worthwhile debate with such a Flintstone? I rest my case.
