On behalf of the Island Sanctuary Association I would like to express my gratitude to all those people who purchased goods or donated money on Sunday 19th April, 2009 on Marsaxlokk market. The sum collected was of e38.70. All funds collected go towards the welfare of abandoned, neglected and defenseless dogs that are sheltered at the Island Sanctuary who hope they are re-homed with new kind owners. As a responsible citizen I felt the need to raise awareness about cruelty to animals and the importance of spaying or neutering which prevents the birth of unwanted puppies.

My appreciation goes towards the volunteers who play the key role working with dogs and dedicate their time with these four legged creatures.
