Sliema Residents’ Association

Malta Independent Thursday, 21 May 2009, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Sliema residents are currently setting up their association to act as a non-political, non-profit, non-governmental organisation to be a voice for the benefit of all Sliema residents.

Over time many decisions have brought about major changes within Sliema without any consultation with the residents and also to the detriment of the residents themselves. The Sliema Residents’ Association (SRA) aims to instill confidence within the Sliema population that together we can participate in and influence matters in our hometown, in order to live in a better environment, safeguarding, conserving and improving the Sliema quality of life.

A meeting for all Sliema residents and also those with Sliema at heart, is to be held today at 7.15pm at Centru Sant Antnin in St John the Baptist Street, Sliema. Those interested in joining as members or just communicating with us, can contact us via e-mail on [email protected] or else by writing a letter addressed to ‘Sliema Residents’ Association, Sliema’. For those who use Facebook, log on as a fan on the Sliema Residents’ Association page. We thank you in advance for your interest and look forward to meeting you.
