St Anne Square

Malta Independent Tuesday, 26 May 2009, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

As recently stated by Minister George Pullicino, with the removal of the Magic Kiosk, St Anne’s Square will be re-instated as an urban landmark.

With no grain of doubt, the installation of the two fountains will deaden the dominating roar of the traffic amidst the relaxing sounds of cascading water, giving peace back to the square.

Generally speaking this is one of a series of plans the Government is taking to upgrade Sliema’s open spaces which, unfortunately, of late, have gone down to a bare minimum.

The inauguration of St Anne’s square next month coincides with the election for Sliema local council. This should, in turn, trigger those elected to strenuously work to make Sliema the smartest place to live in our island.
