Red Electrick Sign with Los Angeles label

Malta Independent Saturday, 30 May 2009, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

Following their debut appearance at the BMAS 2008 with the track End Of it All, RedElectrick marked their second number one and latest single Black 8 in the short span of five months. However this is not the only thing they have managed to achieve.

Jagged House (The band's management) are pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached and signed with Poison Tree Records where Red Electrick's music will be promoted, released and digitally distributed to the rest of the world. The five young lads were approached by Los Angeles Label Poison Tree Records, who liked what they heard and offered them a very interesting contract. "Yes! It seems that MySpace could be the millennium key to get noticed!" Pete (lead guitarist) says eagerly.

The label shall be working to distribute the band's tracks on various Internet sites, making their tracks more approachable for purchase and exploiting other possibilities through the publishing contract signed with Desert Drive publishing. While the Red Electrick geezers keep their feet on the ground, they still recognize the fact that there's a lot still to be done.

Howard Keith from Jagged House said "this year is an exciting year for Jagged house. We have some great artists and most of them will be performing across Europe this summer and they have even had offers from Canada, US and Australia, but the logistics simply don't pay off at this point to go outside of Europe. I'm hoping that Malta can truly see the true potential of our music export market. We've made over 80 shows possible abroad with minimum audiences of 2,500 people, right up to 80,000. All from our own hard work anddetermination."

"With complete artists like RED ELECTRICK we would not be arguing whether or not they get to the right places through neighboring votes.

Seeing the progress that this band has done in simply a few months, there are other plans in the pipeline for Red Electrick.Nonetheless with an industry so fragile our feet are well grounded," added Howard Keith.
