Malta Boxing Federation, Secretary General Alexander Zammit has just attended a meeting of boxing federations at AIBA HQ in Lausanne Switzerland.

The final federation visits to AIBA headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, took place last Friday with the Federation presidents of Belgium, Malta, Morocco and Hungary joining AIBA President Dr. Ching-Kuo Wu and AIBA staff to discuss the latest developments within AIBA and their respective federations.

President Wu welcomed the discussions regarding issues within the federations and worked with the respective presidents to find solutions. The opportunity to discuss the improvements within AIBA and the current projects underway allowed AIBA headquarters to update federations in an open and informed discussion.

The entire week consisted of presentations from the AIBA head office to a total of 20 federations, and these included updates on the AIBA Boxing Academy, which will be launched in November 2010, the World Series of Boxing, licensing, the AIBA database (scheduled to launch at the AIBA World Championships in Milan 2009) and AIBA’s goals of objectives for 2010 and the future.

More federation meetings will take place during the AIBA World Championships Milan, which will be held in Milan, Italy from September 1-12.

Dr. Ching-Kuo Wu is also a member of the International Olympic committee (IOC), Evaluation Commission for the 2016 Games.
