Malta will be represented by Haitem Laamouz at the World Boxing Championships to be held in Milan between 1 and 12 September.

Haitem, who will be competing in the 60 kg division, is under the guidance of newly appointed national coach Scott Dixon.

Team manager Steve Abela and Jerry Camilleri will be attending the R&J congress which will be held just before the start of the World Championships.

These championships are organised by AIBA (International Boxing Association), the world’s ruling body for Olympic style boxing.
