I would like to add further comments about the concert of Moby on Sunday.
As a musician I think we all agree that he is great and the show he put on was superb, however the organisation and planning is something that was totally bypassed.
There were long queues of people to get in when there could have been more organisation and planning at the entrances. This resulted in people still waiting to get in, when in fact Moby had already started.
The bars were chaotic at all times, meaning that to actually manage to get a drink you needed to wear body armour and act like you were taking part in a war film where everyone is battering each other. Unfortunately in Malta we still have the mentality of charging relatively high prices to organise something, however when we have actually made the ticket sales we fail to deliver what people are expecting.
Another point I would like to mention is the utterly disgusting prices the food stalls outside Gianpula fields were charging.
A single plain burger without any chips or salad and a beer cost me €7... Where are the controls?
When are we going to become educated about satisfying our consumers’ needs to the best of their needs without ripping them off? Does everyone have to become a millionaire in a day?
