A contingent of 40 athletes and officials will be leaving Malta this week on its way to Algarve, in Portugal, to take part in the 61st edition of the FISEC Games, between 17 and 23 July.
The contingent will be led by Bro. Martin Borg fsc, the chairman of the Maltese committee.
In a meeting held yesterday, Bro Borg thanked the government, the Maltese Council for Sport and the parents, officials and athletes for their continued interest in these Games.
Athletes from Catholic schools in England, Brazil, Spain, Italy, France, The Netherlands, Belgium, Belgium Flanders, Austria and Portugal are expected to take part with the biggest contingent, of course, being provided by the host country, Portugal.
Malta’s contingent is made up of the following:
Athletics – Annalise Vassallo, Chloe Gambin, Marija Sciberras, Ylenia Lapira, Ramona Vassallo, Jeremy Borg, Clayton Sheldon, Christian Luke Chetcuti, Luca Pace, Bertrand Sant, Daniel Vella, Jean Gauci and Simon Spiteri. The coaches will be Mario Micallef u Angie Mangion.
Swimming – Shanice Cassar, Roxanne Agius, Rhea Cutajar, Lara Grima, Nicola Muscat, Aprille Zammit, Michaela Millo, Robert Micallef, Daniel Galea, Joseph Grech, David Zammit, David Paris and Andrew Chetcuti. Gail Rizzo will be their coach.
Table Tennis – Christian Attard, James Dawson, Andrea Portelli u Marcus Portelli. Paul Dawson and Kevan Azzopardi will be their coaches.
